MOBILE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
INVITED TO PRESS CONFERENCE

 

The Congress of World Leisure Organization will be held in Mobile in 2014. Mobile was chosen over Sydney, Australia, as the site for the congress. This is the first time that it will be held in USA. It was announced in the press conference held by the Mobile Bay Visitors and Conventions Bureau at the Mobile Convention Center. MIF was invited to be part of the press conference to show diversity in our community. Members were dressed in their traditional dresses and carried their respective flags.

Sometime earlier this year, Mobile International Festival was approached by MBVCB to assist them. In one of the succeeding visits of the dignitaries prior to the selection of Mobile as the site, MIF was asked to help out because one of the visitors was from Brazil. Ester de Aguiar acted as the interpreter.

Mobile International Festival is happy to be part of this very important conference to be held in Mobile.
