SHAOLIN TRAINING CAMP ACCEPTING LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS

DARING THEM TO MEET LIFE'S CHALLENGES

This summer LIU International Shi DeRu Shaolin Institute Mobile will be opening its doors to students from around the world who wish to expand their horizons and build the tools to conquer life’s challenges. The Shaolin Warrior Training Camp will be directed by Grand Master Shi DeRu, 31st generation Shaolin. CCTV Networks (China Central TV Networks) describes the Grand Master in its six-part documentary of him: “The Shaolin Legend Master Shi DeRu (Shawn Liu), The Father of Kung Fu Sanda for America.” World Champion Li Qiang, Li Jie and other senior assistants will instruct.

Mobile Local Scholarship Availabilities and Qualifications:
2 full scholarships and 4 partial scholarships are available on a limited basis for those qualified who meet the requirements. There are two types of scholarships available:

(Mobile Shaolin Kungu ) May 20, 2011 -- The Shaolin Institute officially starts its summer camp on June 6 2011. All registration starts June 1st. During the two- month-long training camp, students will have an opportunity to train at the Shaolin Temple in China with two original Shaolin Temple Family Grand Masters: Shi DeRu and Shi DeYang. Training with these two descendants of the Original Shaolin Kungfu family, who are also close disciples of the great grand master of the Shaolin Temple in this century--Shi SuXi, is a very rare opportunity for any serious Martial Arts student.

The first part of the camp will be in Mobile, AL from June 6 to July 16 and the second part will be at the Shaolin Temple in China from July 17 to August 2.The second part is optional for part-time camp students. Space availability for the China training will depend on the number of registrants.

Students in the part-time Shaolin youth training camp without boarding (available to all ages) will focus on the true original Shaolin youth training experience. They may choose five weeks training in total starting from June 6. This training is also available on a week to week basis for Mobile students.

Shaolin Warrior Intensive Training is based on eight-day, eight-night Shaolin experience, and is only for those who are intrigued by true Shaolin high level discipline and are willing to meet its challenges. This training takes place from July 9 to July 16 in Atlanta.

There will also be a Shaolin instructors and Future Masters program for qualified students.

The philosophies and wisdom of ancient China will be studied and discussed throughout the camp to give each student a chance to grow spiritually, physically and mentally as a true Shaolin warrior. the camp topics will include, but are not limited to: the wisdom of ancient China, body and mind toughening the Shaolin way, Shaolin internal forms, authentic Shaolin animal forms, Shaolin Sanda combat, Shaolin self-defense & weapons pairing, Shaolin street combat self-defense techniques (situation defense against weapons, simulation defense, Shaolin kickboxing, and a taste of Shaolin fetal point as life saving defense), QinNa (grappling and joint locking) and Shaolin Shuaijiao (combat wrestling).
Many MMA, MA and Kungu Sanshou/Sanda world champions have either trained or started their training here under Shaolin Grand Master Shi DeRu (Master Shawn Liu.): Cung Le, Patrick Barry, Wael Karika Muhammed, Aaron Honeycutt, Steve Dang, Ruddi Ott, Max Chen, Albert Pope, Melvin Guillard, Juan Zarate, Scott Sheeley, Robert Pritchett, Mike Altman, K.J. Noon, Kevin Nguyen and David Sanders just name a few.
