MOBILE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL NIGHT AT THE BAYBEARS

On Friday, August 13, 2010, The Mobile BayBears hosted the members of Mobile International Festival. After worrying that the weather was going to stop the evening’s festivities, we had a hot but pretty evening. Before the game, we were entertained by the fighter’s from the Society for Creative Anachronism and the Zuri Middle Eastern Dance Troupe. Estela threw out the ceremonial first pitch. The national anthem was sung by a young Filipino singer, Djon Santos. Djon will sing the National Anthem at the Festival this year too. After the game, students from Liu International Institute gave a demonstration of several different types of martial arts and performed the dragon dance. There were fireworks afterwards. It was a lot of fun seeing so many of our members at the game. Mobile International Festival is proud to have the Mobile BayBears as a sponsor.
