The dolls in this exhibit represent The Mobile International Festival (MIF) and its spirit of cultural diversity. Just as MIF has grown since its beginning in 1983, so has the MIF doll collection. The MIF Doll Exhibit is an extensive collection of dolls from around the world. The exhibit began with the bequeathed international doll collection of one of the Festival's founding members, the late Dr. Annelle Jerome. Over the years, MIF members have contributed dolls from their native homelands to Dr. Jerome's original collection. As the MIF membership has increased, so has the international doll collection. Today's collection is a compilation of dolls from the MIF collection as well as the collections of several MIF members. Once a year for the Festival Event all of the dolls are brought together to create a magnificent visual representation of MIF and the beauty of the many cultures throughout the world.

Who is she?

The doll below was found at a yard sale. We'd very much like to know more about her. Origins, nationality, culture? She stands about 10 - 12" high and appears to be made of paper mache' or a simiilar material. If you can help identify her, please contact Cindy Scott.
